During the summer of 2025, Louisiana Tech University created a student AI team to build an AI chatbot for the university's IT Help Desk website. The team built the chatbot in under three months and is looking to build AI chatbots for other departments as well as discover other opportunities to use AI across the campus. We will discuss how we got started using AI and discuss the short-term and long-term vision for AI for the university's IT department.
