Artificial intelligence is transforming education faster than most schools can adapt. While much of the conversation focuses on new technology, the more important question is: What kind of learning experience are we creating for students?

This session challenges educators and school leaders to examine AI through a student-centered lens. Participants will explore practical ways AI can strengthen teaching, personalize learning, increase accessibility, improve student support services, and reduce educator workload without replacing the human relationships that matter most.

The session also addresses the responsibilities that come with AI adoption, including digital citizenship, academic integrity, equity, privacy, and ethical decision-making. Through real-world examples and guided discussion, attendees will learn how to evaluate AI initiatives based on their impact on student learning rather than the novelty of the technology.

Each participant will receive a student-centered AI evaluation framework and implementation checklist that can be adapted for immediate use in their school or district.
